This isn't really a MySQL issue, IMO - you're obviously getting the data out of your database and onto the page. Your problems are very likely much more about general web-design issues. Why don't you check out http://www.hiveminds.org - There's some folks there who can give you some tips on how to design your site more efficiently and with a more user-friendly layout and design. Get those things under control, then come back here and we'll talk about fine-tuning the database and your queries if it seems necessary then.
