Oh I understand that. Been usin that method for years. My main question was if the standard for populating a bridge table was to manually insert the new record in a linear step following the initial insert into the "events table" or if the standard for doing such was executed on the DB side whereby a stored procedure calls a trigger each time an insert is successfully written to the events table.

Through your response, however, I believe you provided me with the answer. I will manually insert it and consider the trigger at a later date.
