I have the same problem: I'm using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (Service Pack 3) and MySQL 4.1.10 with the ODBC Driver 3.51.11.00. With Navicat I was able to move the database from SQL Server to MySQL, but with DTS it stumbles over the VARCHAR fields.
