I forgot to mention... From MSSQL, maybe that you cannot "export" an SQL file or an FRM/MYD file using their backup tool (which is why the DTS is considered instead)... The important thing to remember and consider is that you want to generate an sql file that will be able to recreate your databse structure and populate it (which means that there are many other ways from within the MSSQL Administrative console to do such a task). Be aware that there could be some modifications to apply in the generated sql file before restoring it (or importing it, applying it, whatever the wording used for that task), since there are some differences between both SGBD (especially regarding data types, and several SQL syntax wich are different). MySQL AB explains those differences in detail on their Web Site. You will have to make the correct data type choice before hand as this trasformation will have to take place either from within the MS DTS Wizard, or from within the MySQL Administrator durting the restore action.
