that my previous asp pages all run fine.

I've a simple login.asp, that gets the user to enter name/pw...

Which goes to a loginrespond.asp page, that checks in another table that yes, the proper name/pw are valid, and it then switches to the page I copied earlier, the visitorrecord.asp page that merely is to write that entry into a table valled Visitors.

I have of course response.writen out the sql and the vars, and yup, they're fine.

The problem is ONLY that this table will NOT accept a name bigger than 3 chars.

I am amazed....

Might I ask, could you make me a simple table like the one I described, that I can import into that dbase and then try it?

Because as it is I have little faith in mySQL as I can NOT make this work...

???
