Re: converting MS Access to MySQL by Navicat
We always do necessary testing before every version release. Exhaustive tests were taken to prove the stable functioning of the programs so it's a surprise that you encountered some problems utilizing our program. We would be very grateful if you send us the information contained in your Access2MySQL error.log and process.log files in order to clarify the situation. Would you also send a database sample you want to import the error can be masked in your data base records? We'll test it and do our best to diagnose the case. Be sure of our devotion to keep the confidentiality of your data. We need this data purely in an effort to reproduce the program behavior you described.
As for conversion speed we've made a benchmark test. Here is the result:
Database size: 88 Mb (with 1 table as Navicat doesn't support conversion of multiple tables)
MS Access to MySQL conversion:
Navicat converts the database for 421 sec
Access2MySQL converts it for 145 sec
MySQL to MS Access conversion:
Navicat - 149 sec
Access2MySQL - 30 sec
Surely Navicat is well enough for MySQL server administration but as for data conversion Access2MySQL is supposed to be a better solution.
Best regards
Dmitry
