Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Administration and management of the development, QA, staging and production database environment.
• Install and configure MySQL on Linux environments.
• Troubleshooting all MySQL related problems.
• On call for any production related problems.
• Assist with any database optimizations.
• Configure MySQL replication.
• Monitor size of database.
• Install, update and rollback databases.
Qualifications
Education Required:
• Required Bachelor Degree in software development field.
• Certifications are a plus.
Experience required:
• 3-5 years work experience with MySQL DBA and development on Linux.
• Expertise with database administration, design, development, maintenance.
• Expertise with production support, MySQL configuration, upgrade, migration, rollback, DB replication, and high availability.
• Experience with writing shell scripts.
• Experienced in database optimization and developing stored procedures, triggers, cursors, joins, and views on databases.
• Experienced in performance tuning, query optimization, client/server connectivity, and database consistency checks.
• Good analytical, problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Apache, PHP, Ubuntu, UNIX shell scripts, and LAMP stacks.
