No, not really. NEW and OLD represent the original (OLD) and modified/inserted (NEW) data for the current *record* being operated upon.

This means that you can refer to the NEW.column or OLD.column to check the old versus new values, but you can't SELECT from them (since they're not really tables.)

Make sense?
