Hi Rick, Thanks for the responce and link provided.

We are supporting a project which is using ucs2 charset from 3 years. The DBA team mentioned that it was choosen to support european character sets.

Therefore, I need to do my STR_TO_DATE operations on that without touching the DB structure.

Is that STR_TO_DATE function multi_byte safe?

Kindly help.
