I used the query builder tool bar all the time, and it was a bit confusing when I upgraded and it was gone. I guess key bindings are quicker. The best of both world would be if you could customize either/both of them.
It is very frustrating and confusing that the toolbar was removed, yet there are still checkboxes for it in the Options section.
