Hi,
we've implemented a context per database, that is, when a "SET ..." comes, its stored in the context, when one other query comes, this context is injected before the initial query...seems it works fine, here is the code:

Also, we're thinking about implementing a heartbeat mechanism per ro backend injecting querys that read their status from a mix of memory (replicated table) and a federated table...
