Greetings Ibrahim! My apologies for not responding earlier--I've been away.
I believe my situation with the configuration file has been resolved. The previous posts from Carlos and my reply give the details.
My situation may not be the same as yours if you are doing the standard install for WordPress (XAMPP).
I still have a bug report that has not been resolved, concerning the ability to start and stop the MySQL server, but I think that is unrelated.
