Re: Recovery with only ibdata1 file

I have a very similar problem, only my log files are still intact, the only files that appear to be damaged are the .frm files for my innodb tables. I would desparately like to restore this data.

I would dare to assume that if you have the log files and the main data file, that recovery should be possible, even simple; but as no one ever responds to this question, perhaps that is a bad assumption.

I've noticed that this question appears to be asked quite often, and there are never any replies of substance. Even a response indicating that this is impossible or very difficult (and perhaps why?) would be better then nothing.
