Re: Recover database from a computer dump?
Sadly, I'm not entirely sure whether the dump was made while MySQL was running or not, as the dump was not performed by me, but the technician who upgraded my computer, though I imagine it would have been running as it was programmed to run whenever I booted the computer. Do you know how I might go around attempting to mount the image and trying to run MySQL? Would this require a virtual machine, or another physical computer? And how would I start MySQL when I boot the image?
