Is my assumption( from the directory name mysql_connector_cpp_1_0_0_preview) correct and you use old release - 1.0 preview?
could you please try latest release http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/cpp/1.0.html then?
There is possibility that your problems were solved in later releases. Otherwise your problems in fact are our problems :) and then I would like to here more info from you.
