Yes, that was the case. I went through compiling the source in Windows with Visual Studio, MinGW etc. and I finally checked this thread again (I thought there were no replies since I didn't get any e-mail notifications). Running it in release mode worked, I guess I now do have to compile debug dll's to be able to run it in debug mode.
