Also, you can set connection properties at connect time:

sql::ConnectOptionsMap connection_properties;

connection_properties["hostName"] = "tcp://localhost/test";
connection_properties["userName"] = "user";
connection_properties["password"] = "password";
connection_properties["OPT_READ_TIMEOUT"] = 1000;

sql::Connection *conn = driver->connect(connection_properties);
