Hello David,
Please provide as many info as you can from the following questions so I can attempt to reproduce the issue:
- What version of MySQL Installer do you have? 1.6.4 is the latest one. You can find that info in the Installer about page or by checking on the Windows installed programs under the Control Panel.
- What version of MySQL Server 5.6 are did you install? 5.6.51 or an older one?
- Was this a brand new configuration or are you perhaps attempting to reuse an existing data folder?
- Did you change any of the default values during the installation/configuration? E.g. you changed the installation path, enabled other connection protocols, changed paths of the error logs, etc.
- Did the issue persist after restarting MySQL Installer?
