Thanks for writing in our forums.
In order to troubleshoot the problem better we'll need to work a bit together to pinpoint the exact problem.
You are mentioning 2 different error messages, meaning you get these under 2 different scenarios. Please detail as best as possible what steps you follow to reproduce each of the scenarios consistently, don't obviate anything.
Also please go in Windows Explorer to "%APPDATA%\Oracle\MySQL for Excel" and open the settings.config file. Please locate the <ImportConnectionInfosList> XML node and copy and paste the whole node here.
