Thanks for writing in our forums!
The current version of MySQL for Excel does not support joining tables or editing the SQL query sent to the server. Joining tables is enhancement request that has been discussed internally, so it may be added to a future version.
Since there are several enhancement requests and new features to be added to the product, these get prioritized, so if we hear from the community this feature is very important it may be implemented sooner.
