Well, so far it looks good. I upgraded to the v1.0.1b library, then recompiled and re-downloaded the sketch to the Arduino.
I tested by unplugging the network cable right after it connected (but before it finished sending the query). It timed out, exited out, and completed the rest of the loop. It went on to run through the loops properly, attempting to connect each time (per my code). When I reconnected the cable, it picked up right where it had left off, and resumed inserting the data into the database for me.
Very well done.
