It worked! I took a look at about 15 records (all dummy data).
Both the counts and averages were exactly right.
I could tell it was right from the results immediately after I ran the query.
You made the join with the employee table directly with the answers table. That solved the problem. I guess I didn't think the records would come out right that way. They did.
I started with VB 4.0 & DBase. Through ASP ASP.NET VB.NET, C#.NET, JAVA, MS Access, MS Sql Server, Firebase & a myriad of other databases. Now I'm a full stack PHP, MySql web developer - pretty much all database apps. I'll never figure it all out. This is the toughest join I've ever had to do. It's also my favorite now :) It tells an intense story.
You make it look easy. Thanks very much for your help.
