Okeh, if it took 15 secs on dummy data, it'll want optimising in production. Again, what MySQL version are you running, and you'll want to upgrade to InnoDB.
For help with optimisatiom, run Explain Extended or Explain Format=tree (depending on your MySQL version) on the query and post the results here (inside BBCode tags for readability).
