Great. We (the developers and I) will have some time to start testing I think.

Our developers have backgrounds in Java/Windows/and ESRI development, but won't be excited to have to figure out how to build mysql. Can Holyfoot or someone else post new binaries with the fixes (we need Windows for now).

Also to help get us started could someone provide a sample exercise for creating/loading data, then selecting points with a triangular polygon for example? Adding a section for this example on the wiki would go along ways towards getting folks involved with this.

With SQL Server now picking up serious spatial support in 2008 (adding itself to the list of Oracle, Postgres, DB2, Informix) and the increasing need in business to support Location Based Services, MySQL has some catching up to do in terms of providing spatial support. Therefore, this is an important effort and I hope MySQL management adds robust, easy, and OGC-standards based spatial support to the 6.0 roadmap. We may yet switch to SQL Server 2008 to pick up spatial.
