Thanks for the reply. I saw the first article you provided. I saw a couple on stackoverflow. But none of them fix my problem. They basically just reiterate the process I followed with the exception of "CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST=" step which I understand I don't have to (besides all of that is still set when I show slave status). But if I try to change the log/position to what show master status on the slave says I get an error saying I cannot change it when auto is on.
I'm just wondering what the message means. How can the slave be different than the master . . . have more GTIDs . . . when I just restored a dump of master to the slave?
Again do I have to shut down master or lock users out to do this?
