Re: Automating failover in a master-master replication topology

Iefred hello again,

I know there are lot of risks on my topology, but had to deal with databases using MyISAM engine too, as well no all databases not 'working' with gtid.

I was thinking more of a Linux cluster with storage drdb replication, but client doesn't have appropriate resources available.

The task actually is migration from current MySQL 5.1 environment to 5.7 latest version and provide HA availability with either master/slave or master/master replication.

Do you have another approach to suggest except from clustering to implement such task?

Thanks again for all your assistance. Excuse me for all those questions, but as you might have already understood, I am a newbie in MySQL, was given that task and I am really anxious to implement it.

Best Regards,

Vangelis
