Thanks so much for the tip -link. I managed to follow the the instructions but now i have access rights issue: mysld cannot access the mysql-init.txt file.
I am using Windows vista as my development platform. I chose anonymous logon as my user groups in the permission level.
But this never helped my desire to reset the password.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
