Hi Peter,
Actually I had been following the exact steps specified in MS VC++ Programming (by- Kruglinski, shepherd and lingo) to create the app as I am new to all this. Well, it's creating a MFC application and has specifically specified the use of dynasets(so no doubt ..its using that)... so that method is obviously out of question now. Further, I aim at developing a C++ program which will do the accessing/updating directly without the use of any GUI or any manual help from user.....the program will run continuously and will update the data in mysql database at some fixed intervals. So, I feel that with your experience, you'd be able to tell me how to go about doing it. I would appreciate this help a lot.
Regards,
Saurabh.
