Well, I would say that anything that does not work with CRecordset is not a problem a far as mySQL is concerned....remembering that CRecordset is an MFC function (from memory...it could be ado....)....
So how is it that mySQL not supporting a proprietary programming interface from MSFT is somehow a problem with mySQL?
As far a I can tell the ODBC support works pretty well....and that would be the best interface to write to if you wanted your code to be transportable between mySQL and other databases...especially if you wanted it to be transportable across windows, unix, linux.
