So it is already set that way. When I use "Select User, Host from mysql.user; I get the following:
FrontendUser (this is the one I want to use) | %
FrontendUser | localhost
some other entries--the root and another user that I use to access a PHP app
It has been set like this from the beginning and I have flushed privileges. I added another entry at one point, using specifically the IP from my home computer, but I deleted that entry since the goal ultimately is to have field biologists be able to access this from their laptops (and it didn't work anyway)
