Hi,

It would appear that although I am using Linux something similiar occurred. I seemed to have two locations that indicated a 1.0.2 release one was at

/usr/lib/mono/gac/MySql.Data/1.0.2.18525__c5687fc88969c44d/MySql.Data.dll

the other was at

/usr/lib/mono/gac/MySql.Data/1.0.2.18524__c5687fc88969c44d/MySql.Data.dll

I assumed (incorrectly) to use the 1.0.2.18525... version, but in reality it appears that the 1.0.2.18524... is the correct version to use because that one does not give me any problems in using the key word charset.

I only wish I could fully remember how I managed to install two 1.0.2 versions....
