Hi Philip,

I tied to install my Free TDS driver in Workbench using new instructions,
(page
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/wb-migration-database-mssql-drivers-linux.html)
but could not do so. Consequently I could not get to the "Generic ODBC driver Setup" page.

Here is the sequence of steps I have done with description of their results.

1. Open ODBC Administrator
2. Go to ODBC Drivers tab
3. Click on "+Add" button - "ODBC Drivers" window opens.
4. Fill out the following text fields:
4.1. Description of the driver
4.2. Driver file name
4.3. Click "OK"
5. Next, go to System DSN tab
6. Click on "+Add" button - "Choose an ODBC Driver"
window opens.

7. Select a driver for which you want to setup a data source
by clicking on driver's name.
8. Error message appears:
"An error occured when trying to add the DSN
Could not load the driver or translator setup library."

If I go to "User DSN" tab instead of "Syste DSN" tab
the result exactly the same with exactly the same error.

I have snapshots corresponding to the steps 2, 4, 6 and 7 with
error message, but I don't know how to attach those snapshots
to my reply.

Best regards,

Jacob Nikom
