I hope the current documentation clarifies matters even though it could still be improved. The developers and I will spend additional time next week on the more complex tasks (e.g., required libraries such as libqxx, and unixODBC vs iODBC) but here are a few brief notes concerning your recent questions here:

That blog post was written when we only built 32-bit versions of Workbench for Linux, but now we provide 64-bit builds.

The documentation now references how the "Setup file name" option can be skipped. This also confused me when I dug into it, as I wasn't sure if libtdsodbc.so should also be referenced there, or if I was missing libtdsS.so.
