Re: 4.1, connection strings and table charsets

Well, I would like to correct my previous post.
In fact, I was using 4.0.18 on that box. I had totally forgot that.

So, I upgraded to 4.1 set to utf8 (full uninstall, then install, then simply copying the data dir over). Then I ran a series of ALTER TABLE whatever_table CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8;

Finally I REMOVED the connection string from the CF datasource panel altogether.

Guess what, it still runs like a charm.
