Thank you for you very complete answer. I was guessing it was not very easy to solve this issue...
I just make a discovery: there is one file called db.opt in the same folder "/mysql/data" as the raw data. Inside only two lines:
default-character-set=tis620
default-collation=tis620_thai_ci
I am thinking changing everything to tis620... What do you think?
