As expected, the column eliciting errors is defined as ascii and throwing errors on being offered utf8 strings.

When I redefined the Presentaciones column as utf8, the errors went away.

You need either to massage data for that column to ASCII before inserting, or simply do as I did and remake the table without that ASCII charset definition.
