I've since realised, that rather than "halted" the restore may simply have "completed" and those messages that I posted were just the final entries logged.

However the restore is definitely incomplete.

I've done a mysqldump from the Lab system after the restore was performed.

And the size of the mysqldump from the Lab system is just under 600MB versus the size of the mysqldump from the production server which is 7.9GB

So 7.3GB of data is missing on the Lab system.
