Re: Unable to reconfigure MySQL Server 5.7.29 after 8.0.19 upgrade

I see, the installer was backing up 5.7.29 data, encountered an authentication problem, and issued incomprehensibly contradictory messages ...

"The innodb_system data file 'ibdata1' must be writable...

"Aborting...

"mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) when trying to connect

"Process for mysqldump, with ID 5168, was run successfully and exited with code 2."

Wow, I've no idea how to infer what happened from these messages. At the very least, their inconsistency is a bug. Consider reporting it.
