Re: Want to know more about the load-balancing

this assumes that the mysql nodes are setup using replication...

i am not sure, but is there any thoughts on making replication more fail-safe, or using the proxy product as a way to do multicast style queries (like continuent's m/cluster or uni/cluster products)

i have had poor experience with replication and don't want to rely on it personally. if it could auto-heal itself, it might be an option; or be able to do a hot-resync online without taking the master down (or read-only) ...

if the proxy was beefed up though to handle sending the queries (i guess that may require XA?) it could effectively be used in place of other solutions...

please reply to my thread about mysql usage - i'd like to collect some data! thanks!
