you're right, WB lacks this possibility. once the relationship editor of the corresponding rel. has been closed, you won't be able to select and thus unhide it.

I posted a bug report ( http://bugs.mysql.com/40167 ) and we're at the moment looking for a good solution on how to implement this feature into WB. Theres a workaround i also described in the post:
Delete one of the connected tables without removing the database object (WB asks about that on object-delete) and drag the just deleted table back onto the canvas from the catalog. A bit cumbersome, but at least it works this way.

How would you propose to implement this functionality? Fill the properties-pane-Dropdown with all objects so one can select objects by picking them in the dropdown field or would you prefer having connections shown as table-children in the layer-pane-tree? We're open for suggestions ;)
