Re: SAVEPOINTs and deadlocks

Thanks.

I tried this, but it does not seem to work.

What I do in the program is:

SET @unique_txid = "Start";
START TRANSACTION
SET @unique_txid = "In transaction";
... (selects, deletes, inserts, updates)
SAVEPOINT myIdentifier;
SET @unique_txid = "In savepoint";
DELETE ... causing a deadlock

catched the deadlock exception and checked the @unique_txid. It was still "In savepoint" but when checking the database, a complete rollback to START TRANSACTION had occurred.
