Recent Upgrade from MySQL 5.1 to 5.5
Hi There,
We have upgraded, our MySQL server from 5.1 to 5.5 we are now on a brand new machine running RHEL 7, the previous server was running RHEL6.
We have upgraded the machine which has an SSD (as did the previous server). We now have 40 cores (80 with hyper threading), upgraded from 12 cores (24 with hyper threading). I have read that hyper threading and having too many cores can cause performance issues is this true?
We also now have 512Gb RAM upgrade from 96Gb RAM.
Unfortunately we have our default storage engine as MyISAM and INNODB is disabled. I'm trying to push for changing to INNODB, but this won't happen anytime soon.
Thanks for any help that will be received.
Thanks, Alex.
