What version are you running?

Could you include the config.ini and change any IP that is in it to ####.####.####.number for your security?

Also, why are you trying to start it with --initial? you only want to do that if you want the file system for that node wiped.

I would suggest doing a ndb_mgm -e "start backup" to get a data backup as a safe guard.
