Thank you Bogdan, I have tried those 2 options prior to my post onto this forum. No success.
The error I get is:
Got error 122 'Remote SQLExecDirect: Expected lexical element not found: SET' from CONNECT
Seems like the CONNECT engine from MariaDB is sending the received query to the old 32 bits ODBC driver and that driver is sending back an error because he don't know how to handle the DBNAME.
