I hope you don't mind the extended questions. I need to learn. You say you host your own sites on your own machine. What type of machine?

Your provided a link about SSH. Very informative and I have downloaded and installed the Putty software for my PC. I'm still looking for a host to allow me to test it out. Don't worry, I'm not asking:)

However, I'm trying to understand the whole picture. Does your server machine have SSH capability? The link you provided desribes what the client has to do to setup SSH. What is required on the Server? Do you have any good links for the server SSH setup.

I'm working on a small project where we are going to have a Windows 2003 server with IIS and MySQL running and then some remote clients using VB.net applications to hit the server. I picking VB.Net over ASP.net b/c sometimes the user's internet connections can be down (a lot) and I want them to have the capability to work off-line. I haven't downloaded your VB.net source that connects through SSH but I'm assuming the infastructure I'm talking about will work.

I'm working with a network guy who is responsible for the Server piece. We are looking to purchase MySQL to install on the Server and I need to know what other software (SSH) we will need to allow remote clients to access the MySQL server via the internet.

Thanks in advance.
