An interesting thing happened. I have no idea what happened, or how on earth it happened. But, it did.
I worked in a different part of the program, hit the usual "Build and Go" and now everything is fine. It connects, and everything works happily. Very odd. My only guess is that one class file wasn't being rebuilt, but finally was... oh well.
