Hi Alex,

If the hosting organisation uses MySQL then that will be your best solution. There are a number of ways that you can proceed:

1) If you have MySQL installed on your local machine then, yes, you could recreate the database locally in MySQL and then upload it.

2) You could create a new MySQL database on the server, and then export the existing data from access and import it into MySQL

You may also need to check with your hosting organisation to see what limitations they impose on MySQL usage - for example, some ISPs only allow 1 database per account, whilst others are much more flexible. You might also want to check what their backup and support policies are, and which version they use.
