Re: Chinese Charset is displayed as '????'
Hi,
I'm trying to display japanese characters using vb.net and asp.net. I have set the character set of the table to utf8 and have stored the characters successfully. When I use the query browser they are displayed in Japanese correctly.
Initially I got "??????" when I grabbed them from the database, but after I added "STMT=SET CHARACTER SET utf8;" during the connection I still can't grab them correctly. But instead of getting "??????", I am now getting "日本語ガイド".
I tried Response.Write("日本語ガイド") and it prints the Japanese characters correctly, so I am sure it's not the environment.
Anyone has any clue?
