Re: MySQL for Excel option grayed out in the installer
Getting it installed is half the battle.
I have mysql for excel 1.3.2 installed and Excel 2007 refuses to activate the add-in, though it lists it under the COM Add-ins.
Hotfix KB976477 that supposedly fixes the VSOT issue in Office 2007 refuses to install claiming "The expected version of the product was not found on the system." I tried the hotfix on a 32-bit windows 7 install (with Mysql for Excel installed) and still receive the same error message.
I enabled .NET 3.5.1 to see if it was a CLR 2.0 issue as the hotfix claimed to fix the unloaded add-in issue with Office 2007 VSOT add-ins-- no success.
In the off chance the hotfix is already installed, I tried the registry entries as specified by the microsoft blog, no success.
Excel 2007 does have an "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" installed and activated though...
