MySQL GUI Tool - BACKUP using command line
hi all,
after losing all my internal forum data (likely not a lot), i figured its time to have a schedule backup
but first i want to make sure i can run a backup using command line and then i can just make it a .bat file and schedule it after
so anyone knows how to write the line so that it backs up my database say my db name is... happy_db and save to... C:\happy_db_backup\
my database is on another machine say... 192.168.10.40
username: root
password: somepassword
i'm after the same way as how the GUI tool backs up so i can just restore the file
i'm using windows xp/vista 32bit
thanks
Manhao
